“On February 24, 2019, Zviad Kuprava was detained on the basis of a court decision. As the society knows, on June 11, 2018 Zviad Kuprava verbally assaulted the judge in the court premises, for which he was charged under Article 366 of the Criminal Code (disrespect to the Court). For this crime Zviad Kuprava was bailed out as a preventive measure for the purpose of preventing the offender from committing a new offense and making her appear in a law enforcement agency / court. After the court’s disrespect, Zviad Kuprava, who was under bail, as well as in the adjacent area of the court, physically assaulted the lawyer. For that purpose, Zviad Kuprava was charged with Article 126 of the Criminal Code (Violence) in absence, as he avoided declaring a law enforcement agency. Zviad Kuprava’s bail was replaced on 21 February of this year with a more strict preventive measure – imprisonment for breach of bail conditions – the possibility of a new offense, the absence of the law enforcement agency and the judiciary. It should be noted that the trial was held without Zviad Kuprava, because the defendant avoided justice too. On February 24, 2019, Zviad Kuprava was detained for the execution of the court decision. The detention process is printed on the police south cranes, “the statement of the MIA says.
